A Lesson in Particulars

Shedding leaves
Against a slate-grey sky
Stiffened limbs have
Poured forth
Their bounty,
Have offered
And provided
For many. Now,
They are
Bracing.

Yet, even in
These crisp, harsh, and
Withering moments
They flutter,
Swoop, bend,
And sway.
They do not
Forget how to
Dance in the rain.

There is
A lesson
To be learned
From this particular
Explosion before fading:
Moving from
Life to Death
Is an art.
Pick up your brush, and
Start painting...

  1. I love your moments of being poetry and it's direct relation to our fading existence.
